Adding a plugin to your site

After downloading a plugin, drag the downloaded file to your internet browser. Detailed instructions are provided within the file.

If you are having difficulties installing a plugin, please hire a Squarepaste Expert and we’ll take care of the installation for you!

To install a Squarepaste script into your website and avoid directly linking, please follow the steps below:

  1. Copy the link in the script src tag and paste it into your browser. For example, copy the src in bold <script src=”“></script>

  2. Download or save the src as a .js file.

  3. Add a disabled page to your Squarespace website, then add a text block. Type the name of the file, then highlight the text. Click the Link icon, then the Files tab. Select ‘Add File’, then choose the appropriate .js file. After it’s uploaded, click ‘OK’, then ‘Add Link’.

  4. Save the page, then right click and copy the link address.

  5. Replace the src in Step #1 by pasting the new link address.

Making style changes

If you are experienced with CSS or have hired a developer to create custom CSS for our plugins, you are free to do so. At this time, we do not support style changes and our plugins are delivered as-is.

Can I use your Squarespace plugins on my client’s site?

Sure! However, you are not permitted to purchase a plugin once and use it on multiple websites. If you have multiple clients, you will need to place multiple orders.

What if I have previously installed codes from another website?

If I have previously installed codes from a third-party, we cannot confirm if one of our plugins will work with others. However, we do try to provide instructions which support page-specific installations. This will enable you to add a Squarepaste code to one page, rather than site-wide.
